Dual Design Expo 2026 Signals Next Phase of Industry Transformation

From AI technology to interior design, a dual-floor exhibition maps the future of living.
As artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of daily life and urban living spaces continue to minimize, Taiwan is entering a new phase of transformation. This shift will be highlighted by the debut of a dual exhibition, the Taiwan International AI-Driven Future Design Expo 2026 and the Taiwan International Interior Design Expo, set to take place in July at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Spanning two floors, the exhibition will showcase innovations ranging from AI technologies to residential design, offering key indicators of market transition as well as a comprehensive view of how future lifestyles are being shaped.

The two exhibitions adopt a dual-theme narrative. On the first floor, the theme of the Taiwan International Interior Design Expo is “design defines value.” On the fourth floor, the Taiwan International AI-Driven Future Design Expo presents a narrative of “future lifestyle and actualizing reality,” extending from technological innovation to practical applications in residential design and building material applications, constructing a comprehensive view of lifestyle transformation.
The Taiwan International Interior Design Expo, located on the first floor, focuses on the evolving dynamics of living space. Centered on the concept of the “era of compact living,” it advocates a shift toward “value over space.” Curator Alex Yuan notes that as housing constraints intensify, market competitiveness is no longer defined by space, but by design specification, system integration, and overall quality of life.

The interior design exhibition places particular emphasis on the concept of the “era of compact living.” As housing constraints intensify, value is increasingly defined not by space, but by design sophistication, system integration, and quality of life.

One of the featured themes, the “Spatial Dissection Lab,” explores the underlying key factors that shape living quality. Through spatial deconstruction and reality presentation, the exhibit examines how structure, functionality, and details contribute to residential performance. It emphasizes that modern housing is no longer driven by aesthetics, but by the integration of comprehensive systems and materials application.
Meanwhile, the Industry Value Breakthrough Summit 2026 brings together three key stakeholders: building material developers (market and product), spatial designers (design and specifications), and supply chain providers (material and systems). Through cross-sector dialogue, the summit aims to enhance industry value by establishing a “Golden Triangle” framework, fostering a more integrated housing ecosystem, and exploring future development opportunities.
The Taiwan International AI Design Future Expo 2026 centers on the theme of the “first year of AI application lifestyle.” Curated by Alfie Shao, the pavilion, “AI Lifestyle Trends,” showcases how AI is evolving beyond a tool into a foundational infrastructure shaping design, manufacturing, culture, and everyday life.

According to the organizers, the defining feature of the dual exhibition is its ability to connect the future of AI innovation (fourth floor) with tangible residential and industrial applications (first floor). This creates a complete chain from technological innovation to lifestyle actualization, showcasing not only technological development, but also as a critical platform that responds to market and industry demands to observe the future of lifestyle and industry transformation.
The 2026 "dual-exhibition" is more than exhibiting the future, but to actualize the future.
